Important Information about Law Enforcement
Bitcoin Depot Australia is committed to supporting law enforcement agencies in accordance with Australian laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), AML/CTF Act 2006, and related regulations.
- We may only provide personal or transactional information in response to a valid requirement under the AML/CTF Act 2006, a court order, law enforcement notice, or a warrant issued under Australian law.
- Our customer verification procedures comply with AML/CTF obligations, and we retain KYC and transaction records as required under the AML/CTF Rules.
- We do not provide custodial wallets. Customers designate the wallet address at the time of transaction, and we transmit the cryptocurrency to that address immediately upon confirmation.
- Some security images may be available from our ATM locations, but we do not retain CCTV footage unless required under site-specific arrangements.
